Trusting God’s Plan.

Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

There is so much uncertainty in life. Which makes us wonder sometimes if we’re on the right path, or if the challenges we face will ever end.

This scripture reminds us that God has a plan for our lives—a plan that is good, a plan full of hope. But you have to believe this promise to see its manifestation.

You have to trust God. Trusting God’s plan doesn’t happen by chance. It’s a daily choice.
How can you build your trust in God? Here are 4 practical steps to take to help you trust God everyday with your future.

  1. Pray about your future and be intentional.
Talk to God about everything. Your fears, your worries, your dreams and even the uncertainties. The future you want is possible if you will pray and trust God. In reality God has a better plan for you but you need to take time to ask Him in the place of prayer.

  2. Study His Word to understand His promises and gain wisdom.
As you study God’s word you realize and understand how big and wide God’s plans are for you and your future. You are reminded of all the wonderful promises He has for you. You will not know if you don’t read and understand them.

  3. Surrender control. Let go of the stress of trying to figure everything out on your own. Give God permission to guide you. Be sensitive to the inner leadings of the Holy spirit.

  4. Take small steps of faith each day. Take steps of faith that shows you believe in God and what He has in store for you.

As you do these things over time, you’ll begin to see that God is working even in the unseen moments of your life.

The challenges you face are nott random—they are shaping you and positioning you for the hope and purpose He has for your future.

Reflection:

  • What part of your life do you need to surrender to God today?

  • What small step of faith action can you take this week that shows you trust God fully with your future?

    Let us pray.
Lord, thank You that You have good plans for my life. Help me to trust You daily, to pray and seek Your guidance, and to walk in faith even when I can’t see the full path ahead. Give me peace and hope, knowing that You are working everything together for my good. Amen.
