Getting to Know Jesus: Who He Is and How to Build a Relationship with Him.
Jesus is more than a historical figure or a character in a story—He is the Son of God, the Savior, and the ultimate friend who wants a personal relationship with you. For many young people, understanding who Jesus is and what He offers can transform the way they live, make decisions, and view themselves and the world.
Who Is Jesus?
Jesus is God in human form, fully divine yet fully human. He came to earth to show God’s love, teach truth, and offer salvation to anyone who believes in Him (John 1:12-14). He is compassionate, forgiving, and always present, ready to walk with you through life’s challenges.
7 Things to Know About Jesus
1. Jesus is the Son of God
He is not just a good teacher or prophet—He is God’s Son who came to save the world (Matthew 16:16). Believing in Him opens the door to a personal relationship with God.
2. Jesus loves you unconditionally
His love is not based on your achievements or failures. Jesus loves you as you are and desires to help you grow (Romans 5:8).
3. Jesus is the Way to God
Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life—no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Knowing Him is the only way to experience a full, meaningful relationship with God.
4. Jesus forgives sins
No matter what mistakes or wrong choices you’ve made, Jesus offers forgiveness and a fresh start (1 John 1:9). His sacrifice on the cross removes the weight of guilt and shame when we turn to Him.
5. Jesus teaches how to live
Through His words and actions, Jesus shows us how to love God, love others, and live with purpose (Matthew 22:37–39). His teachings are practical and life-changing, guiding our relationships, choices, and priorities.
6. Jesus is present in every moment
He promises to never leave or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Whether you feel happy, confused, scared, or alone, Jesus is walking with you and offering strength and guidance.
7. Jesus brings peace and hope
He gives a peace that the world cannot give, helping you overcome fear, worry, and doubt (John 16:33). Trusting Jesus provides hope even in the hardest seasons of life.
How to Get to Know Jesus Personally.
Read the Bible – Start with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) to see who Jesus is and how He lived. His words and actions reveal His love and character.
